University College London (UCL) announces 2025 scholarships for all students

The University College of London has announced a ranges of scholarships for both domestic and international students for the academic session of 2025. The scholarships are focused mainly on individuals from underrepresented groups or low and middle-income countries.

The scholarships reenforce commitment to diversity, inclusion, and academic excellence. The scholarships work in the sense that applicants who meet specific academic and financial requirements will be able to access funding for undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA/EMBA programs at UCL.

List of UCL’s scholarships and their eligibility criteria

Like I said earlier, University College of London (UCL) offers a range of scholarships for domestic and international students in 2025. Each of these scholarships come with different requirements and different application process. Here’s the list of UCL’s scholarships:

1. Undergraduate International Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship offers applications £5,000 for the first academic session. This scholarship is open to international students who have been offered to study BSc or MSc Health and Business programme.

However, make sure that you submit an application before 4th of June, 2025, because that’s the deadline.

Requirements

Applicants must show strong academic results and active participation in extracurricular activities. You also need to send a CV and a 500-word essay by email to the school.

2. Undergraduate Health Impact Scholarship

This scholarship offers applicants £10,000 for the first academic year/session. This scholarship is focused mainly on international students that come from from low or middle-income countries.

Requirements

The Undergraduate Health Impact Scholarship Program is for applicants who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence. The scholarship is offered to holders of BSc/MSci Health and Business program.

The deadline for application of the Undergraduate Health Inpact Scholarship is also 4th of June, 2025. Applicants are required to submit a CV and a 500-word essay outlining healthcare aspirations via Email.

3. Global Master Scholarship

This scholarship is being offered at postgraduate levels. The scholarship grants applicants £15,000 for the first academic semesters. The scholarship is targeted on international students only, especially the ones that comes from lower-income backgrounds.

Eligibility requirements

UCL decides eligible applicants when application submitted is reviewed. In other words, qualified applicants are automatically selected when they submit their complete admission application.

However, it’s important to note that the deadline for the Global Master Scholarship application submission is 5 PM BST on Tuesday, May 6th 2025.

4. UCL India Excellent Scholarship

This scholarship targets specific groups of students in India. The scholarship offers £5,000 for the first academic semesters. However, to qualify for this scholarship, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a top-100 NIRF institution and have a UK-equivalent first-class GPA.

The submission deadline for this scholarship is 29th of February, 2025. Similarly to UCL Global Master Scholarship, applicants are automatically selected upon submission of application.

5. Baxter Health Scholarship

The Baxter Healthcare Scholarship is another notable scholarship from the University College of London. This scholarship offers £38,000 for tuition fees and living expenses.

The scholarship is used to focus on UK residents of Black African or Black-Caribbean descent. So, if you’re one of them, this may be your chance of getting a quality education in the United Kingdom.

Requirements

Applicants must an exceptional academic background. The application submission will close on Friday, 30th of June, 2025. So, it’s wise to submit an application before the deadline.

Applying for UCL Scholarships

To apply for UCL scholarships, you need to prepare the required documents, usually including a CV and a 500-word essay about your career goals and leadership potential.

Once that’s drafted out, submit the application to UCL valid email address with a correct subject line. UCL’s admissions team reviews the submissions and informs you of the results before continuing to enrolment.
