6 Essential things to prepare before 2025 JAMB registration begins

Hello senior! I will walk you through things you need to get ready before registering for your 2025 JAMB’s UTME. This article also applies to direct entry candidates as well. The JAMB’s UTME registration begins in January 2025. So, it’s wise to start preparing now as early preparation ensures smooth registration and chance of success in the examination. Here are six (6) things you need to get ready before the 2025 UTME.

1. Get your NIN ready: National Identification Number (NIN) is now one of the essential requirements to register for UTME in 2025. Hence, if you don’t have NIN, please visit the NIMC office to enroll for the national means of identification.
2. Valid Phone Number: Another thing to get ready is a working phone number. However, make sure the phone number has not been used for JAMB profile otherwise, it will not be accepted. A valid phone number is required to create JAMB profile.
3. Email Address: Like working phone number, an email address is also essential to create JAMB profile. Furthermore, all your JAMB info will be sent to your Email address. However, if you don’t have a valid email address, you can setup one on gmail.com.
4. Know your Course: It’s best to identify your capacity and know the course you want to study. Start making your decision now, don’t wait till the last moment before you decide. Pick a course you are passionate about and have the skills for. Also, have a second-choice course in mind to increase your chances of getting admitted if your JAMB score doesn’t meet the initial course requirements.
5. Know your Subject Combination: Once you’ve identified your field of study, choose an institution that best fit for the course and know the institution subject combinations required to study the course. Once all these is sorted out, filing your JAMB registration form will not be hard and no mistake will be done.
6. Prepare for UTME: The Earlier, The Better. Having good scores in UTME is simple. It’s just about studying real hard. However, know that to read in-depth, you need to start reading now to meet up with all the important syllabus.
